Arroyo Out On Bail

Former President and now Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was now reported to have left the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC). She passed by the chapel to pray for awhile, but now her convoy has left VMMC via the Mindanao Avenue exit. Police took control of the situation (protesters were also at the North Avenue gate) after being blocked by protesters at the Mindanao Avenue exit, and is now ready to proceed to her house in La Vista Quezon City.

Outside the VMMC, ralliers anxiously awaited for her departure. The ralliers, who called themselves volunteers for former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, started from a group of 30 which grew to an approximate 200 by 2 pm, they were seen converging earlier noon at gate 1 of the VMMC bearing placards that speak of their love for the jailed leader.

Their number continued to increase as news about Arroyo’s bail spread, more than the number of anti-Arroyo militants who were already at VMMC since mid-morning. The militant groups are composed of Gabriela, Bayan Muna, Bagong Alyansang Makabayan, Pamalakaya, among others.

The “true and fair view” can be what you make of it, depending on your principles.

The Crown Of Gloria

The Impeachment trial is tomorrow, Monday January 16, 2012.

To keep myself in the loop, I’ve decided to search all over the Internet and compile all the information I deemed pertinent to keep me abreast of all the facts and issues so that when I seat down and listen to the trial proceedings, I won’t be caught uninformed.

Here are some of the many information available online, with some editing and added opinions of my own, and arranged in a way I find more streamlined and conducive to easier understanding – minus some of the hype.

I’ll get back to all of these and insert clearer facts and “subtract” redundant or erroneous entries.

Today is Friday the 13th …Many have superstitions attached to this date that will happen 3 times this year, January, April and July….But I think the people would have to fear more Monday the 16th…for it’s the start of the Impeachment Trial..

Those were the lines being chanted by Manang Bola, a character from the Batibot childrens show way back during my childhood,  as she gazed upon her crystal ball to seek for answers to her client’s questions.

Perhaps, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is also seeking for answers right now. …just as we are desperately seeking for closure. We would be extremely happy if we could finally know of the truth, and delightfully clap our hands and jump for joy with all vigor when we finally learn that our hunches in the past were correct after all.

What future awaits for GMA, her family members, and her past administration’s officials?
