Batibot Ni Corona

The Original Batibot song goes like this:

There’s a rock version performed by a local band, Alamid… and they also have a “green” version which goes like this:

“pagmulat ng mata….diretso sa kubeta…magbatibot”

“Batibot” was originally the theme song for a Philippines children show that is the counterpart of Sesame Street. The song itself is rated G, but the title, “Batibot”, became synonymous with “bati”, street word for “masturbation”. It is easy to pass off as having double meaning because it’s a children’s show one or two decades back. The band can simply say mag-batibot meant watching the tv show.

“Sembreak” is one of the classic opm by Eraserheads. The song is about a bored college student who’s telling us how he spent his last summer vacation while missing school and a classmate who is his crush. The line”basketball sa banyo” (playing basketball inside bathroom), also means masturbation.

With regards to “basketball sa banyo”, in present time you can simply say playing your NBA Live 2011 on your PSP. Back when the time Sembreak was released – early 90’s- maybe the band’s only excuse as its second meaning is that they have a big CR where it’s possible to shoot baskets inside, or playing brick game featuring basketball, if any.

For many of the green-minded individuals: the only meaning we can think of is to jerk off or “mariang palad”or j*kol. hehehe

Here’s a video containing the Batibot song (shortened version). This was not from the original show but a rebirth for the newer generation. Conceptualized, modeled, textured and animated anew. Imagine creating something like this back in 1995-96 using a Pentium-II, 32MB ram and 500MB hard drive …uurgh!

Here’s another video containing the longer version, but still not from the original show.

If I find the original, that would be a sure “blast from the past”.

Team Prosecution Assignments

The prosecution team of the House of Representatives have announced the final assignments of the public prosecutors for the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona that will begin on January 16, 2012.

Article 3: Failure to meet and observe the stringent standards under the Constitution that provided that a member of the judiciary must be a person of proven competence, integrity, probity, and independence in allowing the Supreme Court to act on mere letters filed by a counsel which caused the issuance of flip-flopping decisions in final and executory cases; in creating an excessive entanglement with Mrs. Arroyo through her appointment of his wife to office; and in discussing with litigants cases pending in the Supreme Court. Lead prosecutor: Rep. Giorgidi Aggabao (Isabela); Secondary prosecutors: Rep. Arlene Bag-ao (Akbayan) and Rep. Sherwin Tugna (Cibac)

Article 4: Blatant disregard of the principle of separation of powers by issuing a status quo ante order against the House of Representatives in the case concerning the impeachment of then Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez. Lead prosecutor: Rep. Arlene Bag-ao (Akbayan); Secondary prosecutor: Rep. Reynaldo Umali (Oriental Mindoro)

Article 5: Wanton arbitrariness and partiality in consistently disregarding the principle of res judicata, or resurrecting decided cases, and in deciding in favor of gerrymandering in the cases involving the 16 newly created cities, and the promotion of Dinagat Island into a province. Lead prosecutor: Rep. Elpidio Barzaga (Cavite); Secondary prosecutor: Rep. Marilyn Primicias-Agabas (Pangasinan)

Rodolfo Fariñas (Ilocos Norte); Secondary prosecutor: Rep. Marilyn Primicias-Agabas (Pangasinan)

Article 7: Partiality in granting a temporary restraining order in favor of Arroyo and her husband Jose Miguel Arroyo in order to give them an opportunity to escape prosecution and to frustrate the ends of justice, and in distorting the Supreme Court decision on the effectivity of the temporary restraining order (TRO) in view of a clear failure to comply with the conditions of the Supreme Court’s own TRO. Lead prosecutor: Rep. Neri Colmenares (Bayan Muna); Secondary prosecutor: Rep. Raul Daza (Northern Samar)

Article 8: Failure and refusal to account for the Judiciary Development Fund and Special Allowance for the Judiciary collections. Lead prosecutor: Rep. Reynaldo Umali (Oriental Mindoro); Secondary prosecutor: Rep. Giorgidi Aggabao (Isabela)

The panel of public prosecutors will be assisted by a battery of volunteer lawyers led by well-known litigator and second-time impeachment private prosecutor Mario Bautista of the Clarissa Ocampo fame.

Here is must read infographics. It’s as simple as it gets in explaining a complex subject like impeachment.

An  Primer on Chief Justice Renato Corona’s Impeachment Case

Final Note:

“CJ Corona has a “19-0″ judicial record in consistently voting in favor of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in 19 cases brought before the Supreme Court.” Interesting!

Di pa siya nagpapahalata niyan na malaki ang utang na loob niya ki dating Pangulong Gloria Makapal-Mukha Arroyo. Saan ka pa 19-0 Legal Grandslam yun. Sana man lang kahit isa bumitaw siya. Grabe lantarang Ginagago na nila tayo.”

As for the trial:

I don’t really know what will come forth next after all of these… but since 2013, election period, is just around the corner, I’m pretty sure everyone will be “at his best to impress” at the Impeachment trial. Both Representatives and Senators will be a fool not to take advantage of the media exposure.

But out of all of these, I just can’t shake the feeling that these guys may also be just jerking us off. Giving us the feeling of excitement, pleasure, the arousing tingling sensation and we fall for them….all willing to give ourselves to them, subduing us to submission….until we reach a point of climax, the orgasm and…… ejaculate!

Later, after the grand election, months after we’ve all voted for them, …..when no significant changes took place, and all their promises gone in the wind……..we’ll realize that they also did a “blow job” on us.
