The Wolves Within

eyes of wolf

An old Grandfather, whose grandson came to him with anger at a schoolmate who had done him an injustice, said, “Let me tell you a story. I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do. But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times.”

He continued, “It is as if there are two wolves inside me; one is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way.”

“But the other wolf, ah! He is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit.”

The boy looked intently into his Grandfather’s eye and asked, “Which one wins, Grandfather?”

The Grandfather solemnly said, “The one I feed.”

Michelle Obama Shows Off Her Tit?

On newsstands in Spain for the August cover of Magazine Fuera de Serie (Off the Charts), a lifestyle supplement to the newspaper Expansión.  The image of US First Lady Michelle Obama is seen sporting an American flag with her nipple showing.

French Artist Karine Percheron-Daniels depicted Obama as a black woman slave seated on a chair draped in the American flag, partially nude in slave attire as can be seen from the head scarf. She looks like a slave posing ala Playboy style, waiting for her master to seduce her. It’s outrageously offensive and demeaning.

Goodbye, Neil Armstrong!

Astronaut and Icon Neil Armstrong passes away at 82 due to complications from a heart-bypass operation he underwent a few weeks ago.

Armstrong was best known for one thing. On that fateful day back in July 1969, with the eyes of history watching, he clambered down the ladder on the front leg of the Lunar Module “Eagle” to become the first man to set foot on the Moon.

“That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind,” he said. Though Apollo 11 was his first and only Moon mission, the events of that day and those words would follow him for the rest of this life.

He, along with Lunar Module Pilot Buzz Aldrin, proved to half a billion people back on earth (and countless others in the years to come) that the potential for mankind to reach for ever-higher heights was perhaps limitless.

“Insane. Rebels. Mavericks.

We’ve been called all those and more. They say we don’t respect “the way things should be done” and we should just adhere to the status quo.

People laughed. But we ignored them and launched a social revolution! We will soon become part of history.”

Sustainable Retreat

Global warming is “the response of our outraged planet”.

The planet is trying to restore its equilibrium and all the protocols, summits, and concepts developed so far are simply a vain attempt to control this Earth self-regulating system.

An abrupt and climatic shift is unavoidable.

Sustainable development is a contradiction and its time has been passed already. We have come to a time where development is no longer sustainable and therefore we need to retreat.

Man’s idea of progress has become an obsession, a sort of drug, which “may kill if continued and kill if suddenly withdrawn”
