Demagoguery was a very new word for me, but what struck me more about it is that it was one of the first highfalutin word Arroyo used during her interview with GMA 7’s Arnold Clavio. It was also the first time we saw Arroyo without her neck brace, which revealed her scar from the previous operation.

A demagogue is a leader who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises in order to gain power and admiration.

Arroyo claims that Aquino is using demagoguery to “linlangin” or deceive people and turn them away from his failures in alleviating the country out of the more important issues of poverty, unemployment, among others.

What a fancy word. It makes me wonder this time what would be a suitable word to describe what Arroyo’s camp is doing just to avoid being confined in an ordinary jail cell just like all the other detainees out there….and keeps on injecting their “house arrest” proposal instead. Who are they to make demands, and complain vigorously if they are denied?

Arroyo is definitely a candidate for the loony bin as she also plans to write her memoirs and titling it quite similar to his father’s memoirs, “ A Stone for the Edifice”. She plans to call it “Another Stone for the Edifice”, another reason she is giving on why she needs a laptop. Could someone just send her a typewriter, please. Or better yet, just a truckload of notepads and ballpoint pens, or the best would be “magic slates” since she is a “little girl” after all.

And more appropriately, she could just title her memoirs “Another Stone for the Orifice”, since she could resemble a stone that we could use to jam Horn’s big orifice of a mouth.

And now she is asking for a Christmas furlough.

A furlough is a leave of absence or vacation, especially one granted to a member of the armed forces or enlisted personnels, and maybe in Arroyo’s case, detained government officials?

If the government grants this then they’re lunatics as well.

Oh well, it’s indeed a crazy world. Livin’ La Vida Loca!

Elena Bautista Horn shouts “It’s mental torture!”, as former president and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s grandchildren were not allowed to use an ipod inside the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) Presidential Suite. The children were there to visit Arroyo a few days after her transfer from the St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC).

After not being allowed to use mobile phones, laptops, TVs, radios, and other electronic media and communication devices, Horn is now again furious about the strict observance of the same restrictions to the visiting families, relatives and guests of Arroyo.

Horn is really out of her mind! I think Horn needs to be reminded that Arroyo is in detention in a government hospital, and not on vacation.

How can that be mental torture? Imagine hearing this kind of complaint in the City Jail. Others can’t even afford an mp3 player, what more an ipod.

The kids can always play outside, but In the first place, weren’t they there to be with their grandmother and not busy playing with their expensive toys??!

“Horn lives up to her name: Sanga-sangang sungay ng kasinungalingan at kabalastugan! Mental torture na ba yun? May ipod? Yung iba nga walang makaing bigas.”

“Is Horn using her present position as a stepping stone to show business? Irritating.”

“Ganyan yata talaga si Horn, panay busina na dahil walang tigil sa kakatalak, may sungay pa dahil puro masamang intensyon ang binabalak!”

Arroyo is lucky to have a very loyal friend in Horn. Those who had ties with Arroyo, even among friends in media, love her and defend her fiercely! Among those defenders are those who have much to hide and to account for. Do take note, they don’t enjoy public sympathy.

If you would ask “These loyal “defenders”– are you alluding they could have benefitted from their close relationship in more ways than one?”

I would reply by saying “Arroyo was a smart woman, she took care of a lot of people. All Generals, Bishops, Justices and plenty of other influential personalities, to stay in power long. Arroyo conspired with many others in plunder, human rights violations, and electoral fraud, as per complaints at DOJ and the Ombudsman. It is not a surprising why she still has a few number of supporters working painstakingly hard for her”.

Ocular Inspection

Congressman Diosdao “Dato” Arroyo, son of former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo,  and Elena Bautista-Horn, Arroyo’s spokesperson, conducted an ocular inspection of the Presidential Suite at the Veterans’ Memorial Medical Center. They were also accompanied by the former leader’s doctors from the St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Arroyo and Horn arrived at the VMMC past 10:00 a.m. and entered the 150 square meter hospital suite. The two agreed that the room was quite alright but they pointed out a problem with the reclining hospital bed. “It was manual, former President Gloria would have a hard time readjusting the position of the bed. “We would require it to be replaced by an automatic model instead.  Arroyo is very sick already. Do you want her to acquire another illness because of that damn bed?…..W-wait, …..erase that thought,….. the manual bed would be appropriate already”.

Horn said Arroyo lawyers would also appeal the ban on the Internet and cellphone. “She is still a congresswoman and needs to work,” Horn said. “…and how do you expect her to update her Facebook status and Twitter tweets  if there would be no Internet access?”

From neck brace and Minerva vest support, to loss of appetite and diarrhea, to inflammation of the large intestine,….. I wondered a few days ago what will they think of next just to fish for sympathy and avoid being taken into a detention cell? I thought the next possible scenario when they ran out of illnesses, rare diseases and legal remedies, was going to be “possession by a foreign evil spirit” and their excuse to leave the country would be “To consult an exorcist abroad who could speak and understand the foreign evil’s language”.

I was definitely wrong.
